When should my child first visit the dentist?

Unless your child has a problem eating or complains of pain, 3 years is the age we recommend for a first dental visit.

Why do I have a dark ring at the base of my crown?

Some crowns have a metal substructure with porcelain baked on top. Occasionally the metal substructure becomes visible. There are several remedies for this situation.

Can I have white fillings?

Yes, tooth colored fillings are our restorations of choice, although they may be inappropriate in some situations.

Do my dentures have to have metal clasps?

No, we routinely fabricate all acrylic flexite partial dentures. The flexite partial is highly esthetic and comfortable.

Can I have white teeth?

With our Zoom Bleaching System teeth can get 2 - 8 shades lighter in a 1 ½ hr. office visit.

Can I be put to sleep for my dentistry?

Nitrous Oxide, (sweet air) can be used for your appointment. Patients stay awake but are put in a euphoric state.

What is the sterilization procedure in the office?

The office follows strict infection protocol set forth by the American Dental Association guidelines and is fully OSHA compliant.

Are dental X-rays harmful?

With state of the art digital radiographs, patient exposure is minimized. Still, care is taken not to take unnecessary X-rays.

Do I see the same dentist for each visit?

Yes, except in emergency situations. Each doctor diagnoses, discusses and treats their own patients.

What happens if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

Your doctor can be reached 24 hrs. a day / 7 days a week. By leaving a message in your doctor's voice mailbox, your doctor will be automatically notified and will return you call as soon as possible.

How can I pay for my treatment?

The office accepts checks, cash and charges. Many cases are paid in full by insurance coverage. In situations where large personal balances are incurred, a special charge card called CitiHealth, sponsored by Citibank is able to be used for payment.
